Nice that your a Shogun fan, but he is the heavy underdog in this fight. Shogun should take advantage of the fact that few really know how well Machida does on the ground, because he just isn’t going to be fast enough for Machida. Griffin beat him and he wasn’t fast enough for Evans, and Evans wasn’t fast enough for Machida.
He should also be thanking god that Machida is playing less “tag” lately so that he can maybe at least get one good clean shot on Machida’s button-area best case scenario. Machida will win, but saying you are for sure Shogun is totally out of his prime is a bit of an underestimation I think.

Uh, no. Dude was on a roll in 2005, but not now. Beating a forty-year old man after completely gassing in a fight with another forty-year old man (Coleman) can in no way, shape or form be considered being “on a roll”.
Machida by decision or late KO.
Hmm… seems to me from your other question that you think of Chuck as some kind of god. Machida is better than Chuck ever was.

Shogun wouls put up a better fight than Rashad Evans did, but in the end, he would still lose.
And you say quick and clean for Rua? You must’ve just started following MMA like a week ago or something because nobody is going to have a “quick and clean” fight agianst Machida. Do some research

Machida hands down, I agree that the LHW division in the ufc has the best fighters, but damn Machida is nasty, i dont see him losing this fight or to even rampage in the future

Im a huge Shogun fan, and yes, if this was 05, id take Shogun in a heartbeat. But sadly, he has declined in skill. Similar to his brother Ninja (who was never really THAT great). So id take Machida, but not at 100% confidence.
I guess if Mir can turn his career around, Shogun can possibly. But I would have to see Shogun beat a relevant fighter before I can say hes back. His last two wins dont exactly cry “Shoguns back baby!”
